A narrative about my concept development.

fiLTer

Process: describing each major design move in one word.

fiLTer

The rolling mechanism folds the fiLTer into layers, changing the lines, shapes and colors.

fiLTer

A grid-work of canvas operated by people. The tri-color patchwork will display an application specific image when unrolled and filter the light for an ambient glow.

1>Color:
The three colors became symbols for the landscape, which are ground, water and sky.
2>Shape:
The shape of the canvas was strengthened when filleted and multiplied.
3>Line:
A full sail as it cuts through the sky influenced the line in the patchwork fiLTer.
4>Depth:
The layers within the patchwork are highlighted when the rolling mechanism is used.
